Travel Law Today – Autumn 2025

Many of the legislative changes that the industry has been expecting will be finalised in the coming months with agreement on the EU Directive on Package Travel and decisions on reform of the UK Package Travel Regulations.

In this edition of Travel Law Today we look at how the Competition & Markets Authority is moving ahead with its changes, including guidance on price indications.

At the same time the operational hurdles, and the challenges that arise through the collection and use of customer data – including through the increased use of AI across the sector – can lead to disputes. Understanding how to approach the litigation process is an important part of a travel professional’s skillset.

I am grateful to the ABTA Partners which support ABTA members by providing guidance, through these pages and through ABTA’s programme of conferences and events, to give members the best chance to thrive in a challenging world.
