ABTA/ANVR list of accommodation sustainability certification schemes and labels

ABTA and ANVR are committed to supporting our members by providing them with the guidance, tools and resources they need to manage sustainability in their supply chain.

In response to requests from our members, we are collating a list of organisations, labels and schemes that comply with specific eligibility criteria.  Our members recognise the excellent work being done to raise sustainability standards in accommodation and we want to support them in identifying certification schemes and labels who share their ambitions.

The purpose of this list is to help ABTA and ANVR member travel companies, and their suppliers, identify certification schemes and labels which are already accredited, or are committed to achieving accreditation before the end of 2026.

List of schemes
The organisations featured in the list are either accredited by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) or have committed to achieving accreditation, from either the GSTC or a national accreditation body that’s a member of the International Accreditation Foundation (IAF), by the end of 2026.

Please note that inclusion on the list does not constitute any approval, guarantee or commitment by ABTA, ANVR or our members, and we have specified in our correspondence with certification bodies and labels, that the list should not be construed as a recommendation. The initiative is provided free of charge – businesses have not paid to be on the list.
