My flight’s been changed to a time that leaves four hours later, will I get compensation?

It’s very unlikely. Check your airline’s terms and conditions, but it’s likely that they reserve the right to change flight times.

If you’re flying from the EU or on an EU airline, then the EU’s Denied Boarding Regulations apply. These state that you could be entitled to compensation if your flight is cancelled or you’re delayed and arrive more than three hours late.

Therefore these Regulations don’t entitle you to compensation for a flight time change.

If you’re travelling on a package holiday, your tour operator should compensate you for significant changes to your booking, unless they are caused by events outside its control. A flight time change of four hours is extremely unlikely to be a significant change to your holiday, however.
