Event details

The past 20 months have tested the efficacy of the regulation governing the travel industry to its maximum. This new hybrid conference is a chance for ABTA Members and the wider industry to take stock. Explore the practical lessons learnt from the COVID-19 pandemic, what the travel industry can expect from the major regulations going forward, and what this could mean for your business.

Attend this hybrid conference with industry peers in-person at Google's offices in central London, or join virtually where the live content will be streamed through a custom platform. Both audiences will be able to submit questions live to our expert speakers. In-person tickets are limited, please book now to avoid disappointment.

About the event

ABTA’s practical one-day conference will consider the impact that industry regulations have on your business model. Ahead of the sales period in January 2022 and as travel reopens, this is the chance to question the experts and raise any issues you are facing and to address common challenges relating to the implementation of travel regulation.

With the ATOL reform consultation underway, hear from industry experts and discuss with peers what the future of financial protection could hold for travel businesses. Learn what you can be doing now to prepare for possible changes and the practicalities of doing so.

Consider the impacts of FCDO and other advice on the PTRs. Get practical advice from travel legal experts on topics including chargebacks, supplier risk management, refunds and cancellations and customer information obligations. Hear views on future changes to the insurance industry including COVID exclusions and what that means for tour operators going forward.

Get an update on the recent case law impacting tour operator liabilities including X v Kuoni and get practical guidance on the impact for your businesses going forward.

Listen to an update on the current travel sector specific action from the advertising regulators. As travel businesses look to promote confidence in customers and encourage bookings, understand the implications of flexibility promises in your campaigns and get your questions answered on advertising practices
