As the cruise sector continues to grow with higher passenger volumes, diverse demographics with younger passengers, expanded itineraries and legal and jurisdictional complexities there has been a noticeable uptick in cruise-related claims.

This training day will provide an understanding of the legal framework surrounding cruise claims along with the common types of incident including sickness, itinerary changes and accidents and how to assess liability.

Practical sessions and case study presentations will cover marketing and brochure promises with a focus on greenwashing, handling low value claims and the role of protection and indemnity insurance in cruise operation.

You will take part in a practical workshop on investigating an accident claim including evidence gathering onboard, working with your insurer and communications with the customer.

Hear a cruise industry perspective on media handling and learn crisis management and effective communication techniques.

Finally, don’t miss the case law update and claims surgery.
