The FCO currently advises against all non-essential travel to Cuba. Please see www.nhc.noaa.gov for the latest hurricane public advisories.

Greek Strikes
The Greek Tourist Board has been informed by the CAA in Greece that a 24 hour strike is planned, starting tomorrow morning at 0600 hrs. Major disruption isn't expected at Athens, but some delays may be experienced at other airports.
It would be best to check with airlines directly. If any more information is received, we'll update this page.
Thailand
The Thai Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej has declared a state of emergency in Bangkok. It's important to note that the meaning of this declaration is simply to prohibit the gathering of five people or more for political purposes; it's not a curfew. Please click here for further information.
We've been advised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand that all conflicts took place in the government area only. This is away from the hotels, central business districts and tourist attractions. For locals and tourists there's no danger or any restrictions in place. Daily life takes place as usual. Shops, banks, offices and all national institutions are open throughout the country. All airports (excluding Hat Yai), public transport, buses, taxis, Skytrain and Subway are running as normal. To date, the FCO hasn't put any travel restrictions in place in relation to the current situation. Please click here for the latest FCO advice.
