WHY JOIN?

See What Some of Our Members Say

Our consumers trust ABTA companies so we find it essential to be part of it. It also offers its Members help, support and training, including legal issues, which is invaluable. Samuel Eliatamby, Southall Travel Ltd, Southall

We have found, over the years, that our membership of ABTA instills customers’ confidence in our product as it is a sign of high professional standards. ABTA's legal department has always been at hand to give us valued advice in our dealings with customers when needed. Caroline Guillon, Club Mediterranee, London

As a Member of ABTA we have the ability to have one bond with them as opposed to multiple bonds with individual suppliers and principals, which is obviously more cost-effective and convenient. ABTA fights our corner for us. As a small independent retail agent it would be impossible for us to have our voice heard if we didn't have that cohesive support. Structures are in place to ensure that comments from grass roots membership are heard at board level and can influence decision-making. We love ABTA! Doreen McKenzie, Knock Travel, Belfast

ABTA maintains strong links with representatives of the main travel destinations, tourist boards, and other trade associations. Good relationships are promoted with other principals within the travel industry, such as hotels, airlines, and railway, car hire and shipping companies, which are of great significance to a smaller independent retail agent such as us. ABTA maintains a code of conduct, which governs the relationships between Members, their customers, and each other. It monitors complaints and provides independent arbitration and mediation schemes that give security to its Members and the travelling public. The support that ABTA offers a retail agent is invaluable and provides us with great credibility. Willie Stewart, Stewart Travel, Prestwick
