JOIN ABTA
Welcome to the joining area of ABTA’s website.
There are two ways of joining ABTA. The nature of your business activities will dictate which applies to you.
Member
If your company or firm is selling in the British Isles or Republic of Ireland and is engaged in retail business (i.e. acting as a travel agent) and/or engaged in principal business (i.e. acting as a tour operator), then you can apply to join ABTA as a Member.
If your business isn't a travel agent or tour operator, it won't be able to join ABTA as a Member. It may, however, be eligible to become a Travel Industry Partner.
Travel Industry Partner
If your business operates in the British Isles or Republic of Ireland and provides products, services, or information sold or used by travel agents and tour operators, then you can apply to join ABTA as a Travel Industry Partner. This is a business-to-business scheme and membership doesn't imply compliance with the ABTA Code of Conduct or other rules that apply to Members.
Just getting started?
We can’t give you advice on how to set up a travel business, but some of the organisations in the Resources section may be able to help you.
